Quizzes, exams, and Essays:
I was very pleased with how I did on the first quiz. The only mistake I made was disregarding articles in my sentences. In other languages they weren't important, but in Italian they are.
On this quiz, I studied/prepared perfectly. There is nothing I would change in my preparation. By sing flash cards, writing my own questions, and repetition, I am very pleased with my method and execution.
Similar to quiz #2, I am extremely satisfied with my pr-eparation for this quiz. I used similar studying strategies that worked on the last quiz and I did perfectly on the quiz. I want to continue to do what I'm doing so I continue to do well.

I was very content with this quiz grade. I spent a lot of time memorizing the vocabulary for family members and the possessive adjectives. My only mistake was writing mother instead of father. In italian the possessive gender corresponds to the possessive thing rather than the subject.
Given this was the first assessment entirely in the form of a composition, I am thrilled with how I did. The common mistakes, like in prior quizzes and exams, were the lack of articles and the misuse of prepositions.
One part of this test that I did poorly on was the "analisi logica e grammaticale". I need to do more practice and understanding of italian sentence structures. Also, I need to review prepositions and remember to include articles in my writing.
I improved significantly on this "analisi logica", however, I still need to improve on this type of question. The other section of the test I lost my points on was the reading comprehension. WHile I understood everything in the reading, I struggled to translate my thoughts/understanding into written sentences. Additionally, I struggled on the verb conjugation and need to do more practice prior to exams on each verb and its specific conjugation.
On this test's "analisi logica e grammaticale", unlike prior assessments, I felt prepared and studied well. The only mistake was that I put the nouns on the first line like they were on all the practices rather than the second line, which is where the test said to put nouns. In this case it wasn't a lack of knowledge or preparation, just not following directions. On the composition portion, my biggest mistake was using multiple tenses. Although we haven't learned past tense, it was okay to use it, but within a sentence I would go back and forth between present and past. I need to stay consistent.

This was the first research paper draft I wrote for the final composition semester assignment. Given the complexity of the topic and writing I was very pleased with how it turned out. The corrections were not substantial and showed that I really learned a lot throughout the semester. I was very happy with the 93 I received on this part of the assignment.
After reading the comments and learned from the edits of the prior draft, I was very cognizant of those mistakes and tried to improve and minimize similar mistakes as best as possible. Give the very few errors and grade of a 97 of the rough draft of the assignment I think I did a really great job. Given the grade, I chose to keep it as my final revision. I think this paper is a great representation of all the grammar, vocabulary, and italian sentence structures I have learned in the first semester of studying italian.
